I am finishing up my internship at NewsRadio 1020 KDKA next week. My last final happens to be May 1st? After doing an internship in news radio, I have a brand new respect for the media and how radio operates. The folks I worked with here were absolutely wonderful. Perhaps a career in the media is something to consider, although at times it is a bit difficult to remain object when I hold such strong opinions about wordly issues.
But good news came today when I received a call from the press office of Congressman Mike Pence's office. (Side Note: Congressman Pence is one of the most conservative congressman in the House and has done an incredible amount to advance the conservative cause) I sent in my resume' in January to be considered for an internship in their D.C. office in the summer. I would have the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill for the duration of the summer. An awesome operant!!! So I got a call from their press secretary asking for an interview. This would be such a huge deal and an excellent follow-up from KDKA. I am also awaiting to see if I was accepted to be a White House Intern for the summer. I will keep my fingers crossed. In the meantime, I better get back to work.
